A trustworthy check begins with the project's official domain, then confirms the exact network and contract address through independent technical sources. Documentation, verified code or an audit can reduce uncertainty, but none of them proves that a project is legitimate, financially sound or free from technical risk.

Use it for:Checking whether delays or outages have been acknowledged.
Important limitation:A status page does not measure every wallet, exchange, node or application.

Governance forums and proposal systems

Transaction and contract verification checklist

  1. 1.Confirm the network first. The same-looking address or token symbol may exist on multiple chains.
  2. 2.Obtain the contract address from the project's official documentation, not from a social-media reply, advertisement or unsolicited message.
  3. 3.Paste the address or transaction hash into a reputable explorer for that network.
  4. 4.Check whether the contract code is verified, but remember that verified code is not the same as safe code.
  5. 5.Review token name, symbol, deployer, creation date, holders and transfer activity for inconsistencies.
  6. 6.For upgrades or governance changes, confirm the final proposal status through the official governance system.
  7. 7.For service interruption, compare the official status page with explorer data and provider notices.
Common impersonation warning

A copied logo, matching token symbol or professional-looking explorer page does not establish legitimacy. Verify the exact domain, network and contract address character by character. Never connect a wallet or sign a message merely to "verify" an account.
